Background
Gatehouse Maritime believes in great growth in Maritime Domain Awareness, due to increased tension and risk in the maritime domain, both regarding Asset Protection and Maritime Surveillance. By providing impactful, real-time, and critical data for our clients, we drive actions and decisions to avoid disasters and protect assets and improve business.
Recently our sister company Gatehouse Satcom A/S has been acquired, and going forward Gatehouse Maritime will be the only operating business unit under Gatehouse Group.
Due to this organizational change, we are planning to establish a new shared services function. This role combines strategic financial management with hands‑on operational execution and serves as a key sparring partner to the CEO across finance, HR, and legal matters – in order to setting up the business for success.
About the job
In this role you will have overall responsibility for the company’s finance, accounting, and administrative functions.
Financial Management & Controlling
- Full responsibility for the company’s financial management and financial health
- Prepare monthly management reports and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Budgeting, forecasting, and liquidity management
- Financial analysis and decision support for senior management
- Monitoring profitability, cash flow, and working capital
- Business controlling and performance tracking
Accounting & Reporting
- Ongoing bookkeeping and account reconciliations (hands‑on)
- Monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
- Preparation of the annual report in collaboration with the auditor
- Ensure compliance with accounting and tax legislation
- Maintenance of financial systems and processes
- Invoicing and debtor follow‑up
- Creditor management and payments
Support function
- Advise managers and employees on HR‑related matters
- Act as point of contact for the payroll service provider
- Maintain legal documents and contract archives
- Coordinate corporate insurance (liability, business, etc.)
- Escalate complex HR or Legal matters to external advisors or lawyers

About you
You have 5+ years experience in finance/accounting roles with hands-on experience with bookkeeping, accounting and controlling (and preferable payroll processes). It is an advantage to have some experience with implementing new finance systems. The ideal candidate has also basic legal understanding and knowledge of Danish employment law.
We are looking for candidates who are proactive and self-driven with a hands-on mentality. You work structured, detail-oriented and highly organized.
You know how to relate and communicate with a pragmatic and trustworthy approach. In general, you will bring energy and passion into your daily work, along with a deep desire to succeed.
