Skive College is looking for an experienced industry specialist with a solid background in the wind turbine industry to teach students and trainees from all over the world. Our goal is to train the best professionals to work with service and installation, as well as high-voltage installations, on wind turbines on land and at sea.

As part of the job, you will also teach our own VET students in special professional modules in the electrician education.

These modules make Skive College a very special electrician school with a focus on advanced technologies and direct access to tasks at heights and far out at sea.

About the job

As one of our teachers, you will play a central role in educating students in:

• Offshore and onshore wind turbines: Installation and service of all components within the nacelle as well as switchgear, transformers, and relay systems.
• Renewable energy plants: Training in the technical and safety aspects of renewable energy plants.
• High-voltage installations: Cabling, installation, and service of high-voltage plants.

You will be teaching in Skive College’s brand-new facilities, which are equipped with the most modern teaching equipment in high-voltage cabling as well as advanced simulation equipment that covers all electrotechnical and hydraulic components in a modern offshore wind turbine. Here, students and faculty will have the opportunity to work hands-on and learn under conditions that match real-world requirements.

Most of the teaching and classes will be in English, as the students come from all over the world.

We expect you to

• have solid experience from the wind turbine industry, preferably with a focus on offshore wind turbines and high-voltage installations.
• have technical insight into switchgear, transformers, and relay systems.
• be fluent in English, as teaching is primarily conducted in this language.
• be professionally curious and want to pass on your knowledge and experience.
• have a positive and solution-oriented approach to teaching and collaboration.

Teaching experience is not a requirement, but it is important that you want to guide and inspire students who come from different professional and cultural backgrounds.
